When a typical day is divided into different periods in which worker do the same job in rotation.

Fixed term
A worker will have a contract with the organisation they work for, their contract will end on a particular day or completion of a task. 
Business officer, Event coordinator, recruitment manager
Able to travel, freedom and many opportunities

Office hours
This is when a worker will work within the times the office is open usually 9-5.
Admin assistant, agency/ enrolled nurses, radiographer
Spare time on weekends, company benefits
No free time during the week, less time to sped with family
Freelance
A freelancer is someone who is self employed working in a profession or trade, this is usually temporary.
 Journalists, consulting, graphic designer
Multiple income, variety, freedom and flexibility
Cash flow, hard business development and mortgages and loans
Irregular patterns
This is when a worker may be payed more to work more then the arranged hours or  when out of the office they work at home, visit costumers etc.

Hourly rates
When a worker gets payed according to each hours they work for example
£7.00 per hour
Support assistants, retail work
Predictable, may get paid over time and if you work in the holidays.
Breaks and lunchtime, less chance of advancement if you work little hours you get little pay.
Piece work
The worker will get paid depending on how much work they have done.
Clothing, set and prop designer
Workers will be motivated to work harder, a lot of free time
Supervision, lot of effort and pressure.
